lenny langley (they/them) is a gender)queer artist exploring intimacy in people, persona, and place.

narrative-focused with a dance & psychology background, their concepts weave movement, image, & text into story & performance.

works are crafted largely on improvisational techniques, imaginative play & experimentation; a conceptual language that strives for intuitive liberation; projects strike a balance between structure & flow, freedom & restriction, and a sometimes intentional & unconventional irreverence to form.

their personal experience as a professional vagabond & deviant social creature informs the spectrum of mediums. each project aims to transcend & transform a moment in time and shift a perspective through confrontation & catharsis. works are a raw revealing of the inside out, a ritual showcase of their divine appetite for the feral, the freaky, and the fringe.

living a polygeographic lifestyle, they are currently based in both new york city & new orleans. previous habitats include los angeles, albuquerque, & abroad in copenhagen, denmark; trains, planes, road-trips and hitchhikes frequently mark the space between.
